Black Diamond Link 95 Ski
Those 120 underfoot boards you tour on may be great for the uber deep days, but they're only weighing you down when you have to put in a few extra miles to get to the goods. The Black Diamond Link 95 Ski is a mid-fat board with a lightweight construction that doesn't sacrifice and ounce of downhill performance, so your legs stay fresh for the descent and that snow-eating grin remains plastered on your face when put your skins back on for another lap.Utilizing a 3D sandwich construction with pre-preg fiberglass laminates, the Link 95 has the power and stability that comes with full-length sidewalls, but at a weight that won't leave your thighs whining on the skintrack. To keep the Link's weight down, Black Diamond used a lightweight paulownia wood core at the heart of the ski. The Link has a softer flex pattern, making it ideal for technical descents and backcountry missions spent hunting soft snow. To eliminate the chatter that's all too common in skis of this weight class, the Link maintains its damp and stable feel thanks to a layer of rubber that's integrated into the sidewall just behind the front contact point and right in front of the boot. This dampening technology keeps the ski stable when skiing in variable conditions. The tail of the ski is fitted with stainless steel tip protector to keep the topsheet in good shape after constant contact with metal skin clips.
